A very nice collection of 3 vintage pin badges/brooches for delegates and staff of the Council of Foreign Ministers to the post WW2 Conferences that were held around the world, in this case Paris and New York.
The 'Conference de Paris 1946' badge was worn by all delegates and is a beautiful emblem in dark blue enamel and gold gilt, a gift of the French Government and designed by Cartiers. It represents the globe with tiny gold points marking the Poles. The equator is a golden band with the white dove of peace above it.
The badges for the New York conference are less ornate, the one with blue enamel for delegates, the plastic one for their staff. All 3 badges are in excellent condition and a small piece of history, trying to work out peace after the Second World War.
