Very good original and complete infantry helmet issued by the Swedish Army, first issued just after the First World War, and having seen service in the Second World War. This is the M1921/18 pattern with the metal shield on the front bearing the Swedish emblem, leather chinstrap, and all 3 original leather liner pads still in position. Very rare to find these pads because they are often taken out and fitted into WW1 German helmets, being almost the same design.
In 1942 all Swedish helmets had a highly visible Swedish crown decal applied, 3 yellow crowns on a blue shield, yellow and blue being the national colours. You can see the remains of these decals on the helmet. This was done when Sweden's neutrality was in danger from Germany. This is a complete helmet in original condition and very rare to find.
