Original HMSO publication 'By Air to Battle - the official account of the British Airborne Divisions' 1945
Probably the earliest public account of the battle history of the Parachute Regiment. It was prepared for the Air Ministry by the Ministry of Information and published in 1945 by His Majesty's Stationery Office. 144 pages of text with seven line maps. It goes from Monte Vulture, Bruneval, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Normandy, and Arnhem, to The Rhine.
In excellent condition for its age, just the front cover has been bent back previously and the back cover has an address label stuck on. No damage to the pages.
