WW2 German Third Reich M34 Feuerwehrhelm (Fire Service Helmet)
An original complete M34 Feuerwehrhelm, Fire Service Helmet, issued to the Feuerschutzpolizei (Fire Police). This is in quite superb condition, complete with leather liner and chinstrap, two air vents on each side, and leather tabs inside for fitting a protective leather curtain against burning debris and embers.
Early helmets had a white metal comb fitted on top, for extra strength, but due to cost these combs were deleted from wartime production helmets. This is a rare example of this wartime German helmet. The paintwork is all original, and although there are a few marks and scuffs it is in good condition for its age.
