WW2 8th Gurkha Rifles Pillbox Hat, dated 1940

A good original WW2 Gurkha pillbox hat issued to the 8th Gurkha Rifles. The original paper label is still on the leather sweatband and says "Hobson & Sons (London) Ltd. 6 3/4 1940" with the W.D. (War Department) arrow. Navy with red piping and white metal cap badge for the 8th Gurkhas.

The original leather chinstrap is intact but delicate with some cracks. Light general service wear is apparent, but overall the general condition is quite nice for its age.
